Careers in Building Science and Technology

Graduates of the Building Science and Technology (BST) program are prepared for employment with home builders and remodelers, developers, building material manufacturers, design and consulting firms, building code agencies, home inspection and diagnostic companies, trade and industry associations, residential energy companies, architects, and many others.

The career outlook for BST graduates is outstanding. For students who take advantage of the many internship, co-op, or research assistantships available in the department, and who do not limit their job search geographically, job placement is nearly 100%.

Starting salaries for recent graduates ranged between $40,000 - $60,000.
