Rhiannon Wilson - She/Her
Pursuing a Bachelor of Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering
Anticipated graduation date: Spring 2025

Tell us about yourself!
I grew up in Madison, Wisconsin with my parents and older sister. I loved having the lakes nearby all
seasons of the year.
Why did you choose Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering?
For most of my life I knew I wanted to be an engineer. Driven by my passion for the environment, I chose
my major because of its focus on sustainability in engineering and the application of environmental
practices to mitigate the human impact.
What has been a favorite course or project in your program?
So far, my favorite class has been ecological engineering principles with Professor Jin. I really enjoyed
the plant lab portion of the class where we grew vegetables. It was also cool to learn about
different aspects of the climate and ecological features.
What student groups or extracurricular activities are you involved in and why?
I am a member of FaBEO and look forward to our weekly meetings where I get to bond with other BBE
students and participate in cool projects. This semester I also played intramural volleyball.
What are your career goals after graduation?
After graduation I hope to find a job that allows me to enhance the ecological and environmental
benefits of engineering projects.
