Grace Wolf
Pursuing a Bachelor of Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering
Anticipated graduation date: Spring 2023

Where are you from? Describe what your hometown and/or family is like?

Edina, MN. I am the 3rd generation from my family to attend the University of Minnesota. I have 3 older brothers and a sister-in-law, all of us are engineers!

Why did you choose Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering?

I was drawn to the BBE program because of the ecological focus in the EEE [Environmental and Ecological Engineering] emphasis. I loved how sustainability is the main theme across our department as a whole. I have always been passionate and interested in helping the environment and I thought BBE was a great fit for my interests and career goals.

What has been a favorite course or project in your program?

My favorite class so far has to be Ecological Engineering Principles! I loved learning about different ways ecology is integrated into engineering for more sustainable solutions to societal issues.

What student groups or extracurricular activities are you involved in and why?

I am the President of BBE Student Ambassadors! I originally joined student ambassadors to get more involved in the community within the department. I stepped into this leadership position because I wanted to continue upholding this community for future students! I am also involved in greek life as a member of Kappa Alpha Theta!

What are your career goals after graduation?

After graduation, I will take my Fundamentals of Engineering exam. I hope to start my career in the environmental engineering field, specifically water resource management!

Is there anything else you'd like to share with the BBE/SSM community?

Join BBE Student Ambassadors or find other ways to get involved with the department! We are very lucky to have such a close-knit community and finding ways to get involved with that will make college easier and more fun!
