David Younan-Montgomery is a climate data strategist and environmental advocate currently serving as Principal of Climate TRACE Partnerships at WattTime, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering people and organizations to reduce emissions through data transparency and automation. In this role, he leads strategic collaborations that support Climate TRACE’s mission to independently track greenhouse gas emissions with unprecedented detail and speed.
Climate TRACE—a global coalition co-founded by WattTime—uses satellite imagery, remote sensing, and artificial intelligence to monitor emissions from over 660 million individual sources worldwide, including power plants, farms, ships, and industrial facilities. David plays a key role in bridging technical innovation with policy and public engagement, helping decision-makers access actionable emissions data to drive climate accountability.
Based in Minneapolis, David brings a multidisciplinary background in environmental services, data science, and nonprofit leadership. His work reflects a deep commitment to climate justice and the democratization of environmental data.
