What drives you to be a BBE Ambassador?
I personally struggled to connect with many professors when I started my education, and would have cherished the opportunity to talk to a current student about my concerns, career aspirations, and other general questions.
What are your long-term career goals?
Long-term I just want to science until I can science no more, from exploring alternative energy methods, to determining ideal plant growth conditions, it’s all so interesting and I just hope to continue down the path of knowledge.
What is your favorite thing about our Department?
My favorite thing is the warm feeling I get as I walk through a building where I know the people, and have worked alongside so many in my time here. It’s hard to be lonely when everyone is a friend to you.
What are your additional extracurricular activities, hobbies and/or interests:
Pharmacology Club, though I currently have classes during Pharm Club meeting times. My primary hobby is cooking! I like finding recipes and perfecting them to my taste, and exploring new culinary styles. I also own some rats, so if anything turns out poorly at least they eat well!
What is a fun fact about you?
I’ve been wakeboarding for over 75% of my lifetime! Almost 80% now!
