I am working on my Ph.D. with Professor Jonathan Schilling. I am interested in the biochemical mechanisms of fungal wood decay and the process of wood colonization and resource capture by decay fungi in general. I am also interested in competitive interactions among wood decay fungi. How fungi do battle in wood and what chemical and biochemical techniques to they use to out compete other fungi.
I am also the Co-founder and President of the University of Minnesota Mycology Club. Learn more at mycology.cfans.umn.edu.
