Lenhart Placed on Fulbright Specialist Roster
Chris Lenhart was accepted to be on the Fulbright Specialist roster in December 2017, a position he will hold for three years. As a candidate on the roster, he is eligible to work on training and assessment projects for educational or non-profit organizations in more than 150 countries for a period of two to six weeks.
Next June, Lenhart will go to the University of Cuenca in Ecuador for three weeks to give workshops and develop collaborative efforts on watershed management and wetland restoration research, particularly involving the high mountain wetland environments called páramo. These areas are critical for water supply to the city and support many ecological functions and tourist activities in El Cajas National Park and nearby areas.
